Hippo Buggies

The 'hippobuggy' is an eco-friendly, recycled utility vehicle.  Battery powered, and economical, this versatile buggy has been designed to reduce the time and energy required carrying out your routine daily tasks. It is an ideal stable companion and has been tried and tested and proved invaluable in all weather conditions for all stable and paddock chores. (Please see our photo gallery).

It  is also an asset on smallholdings , caravan parks,  garden centres and theme parks, in fact any application where a quiet, eco-friendly easy-to-operate, vehicle is required.

 The 'hippobuggy' is possibly the most useful electric utility vehicle on the market. It is fitted with chevron rear tyres and will go through those muddy areas such as gateways and muddy paddocks where you would normally struggle with a wheelbarrow.

Those of you who have visited our site before will notice that the price of the Standard Hippo has increased, this is due to a dramatic increase in raw materials and will take effect as from 30th June 2010

The ‘HippoPotty’

The ‘HippoPotty’ is a paddock vacuum designed especially to fit onto the back of the standard tipper.

The new tipper mounted ‘HippoPotty’ has been designed to be easily attached to the Standard Hippobuggy tipper unit, truly enhancing the versatility of the buggy. The light weight 2mm aluminium body is fully seam welded and has an internal box section support to add rigidity.

Fitted with 4 cam catches to attach it to the body and 4 carry handles, heavy duty double fold hinged tail gate with side cam catches. A 5” braided pick up hose with aluminium ground handle attachment. Powered by a Kawasaki KR650b 2 stroke 64cc petrol engine mounted on the top of the unit.

It has an air velocity of 210mph and an air volume of 20.4 cubic meters per minute, 2 litre fuel tank, dual throttle controls, options of electric tip or ram assisted manual tip. Load volume is approx 360 litres.

We have rigorously tested the ‘HippoPotty’ and have come to the conclusion that it is, in our opinion the best paddock vacuum on the market. It is also suitable for collecting leaves and grass cuttings making it extremely versatile.
